Who We Are

The One Million Words Asia Literacy Organization has been established with the mission to finance, source, and supply new printed books, in local languages or in a second language as per demand at the time, with a word count in excess of 1,000,000 words.

Our purpose and philosophy behind this project is to increase the love of reading and knowledge, thus increasing the future prospects of all involved.

One Million Words Asia Literacy Organization | Our Story

Dr. Lockyer began travelling throughout Asia lecturing and promoting literacy in 2005. He quickly saw the need to improve the literacy situations in many of the regions he travelled to, and he began donating books to rural schools and orphanages.

Since 2012, Dr. Lockyer and Mr. Clarke have worked on many projects together, including creating the standards for the UNITAR accredited TESOL-C exam...
